Service Offering - Operations Management of Laboratory and Quality Assurance.
In Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Operations, it is amazing how little “science” is applied to the operations management of the laboratory and quality functions. Elemental building blocks such as “What is the capacity?”, “What is the demand?”, and “What are appropriate campaigning heuristics?”; are invariably missing. The consequence is that customer service failures surface as often in Quality Operations, as in Production Operations.
Deliverables :
- Develop a capacity management framework for the laboratory.
- Develop a capacity management framework for the quality assurance function. This includes :
- Determination of forward load,
- Categorization by appropriate test family,
- Assessment of current approval velocity.
- Determine scheduling heuristics for the laboratory
- Determine ongoing monitoring and control mechanisms.
Typical Duration : (contingent on operating unit complexity, EIS capability and robustness of the current process)
Typical Sponsor
